Having a hard time to find yourself? Here's some advice. Face Yourself. You're probably thinking, what is this person trying to say? Let me explain.

A lot of times, we encounter obstacles in our daily lives as if we are trying to survive on earth, Yes, we are trying to survive on earth. However, in order to help improve our life, we need to learn to acknowledge our own weaknesses and flaws. We grow by learning from mistakes.

We don't always learn if we succeed overtime. Life is like a roller coaster. There are times when we keep on climbing toward success consistently. But there are also times when we fall all the way down from the graph to nothing. It is a process of growing. Not everyone has a smooth life where they don't need to worry about or work hard about it.

By first facing our flaws, it would be taking the first step to growing. Write out a list on what you need to improve on. Then set a mini goal saying that you will attempt to fix the area within a week or one month. As someone once told me, "One small step is a giant leap." Make a good habit. Don't try to create a large goal such as losing 25kg in a month or something like that. If you're trying to lose weight, start by saying you're going to lose 5 lbs in 2 weeks or something. Once you achieve that goal, then you will then create a habit to keep moving forward and eventually lose 25 kg or even more.

If you're a type of person who struggles with finding success, work on your flaw a little bit each time. Overtime, things will get better. You need to strive for the long run and not the short run. Endurance leads to success. But you need to first acknowledge it. If you don't acknowledge, you'll be stuck there beating around the bush no matter how hard you try. Be open to suggestions. If you are open to suggestions, you will most likely improve.

Try to fix the tiny flaws before fixing the big flaws. By paying attention to more little details, you'll become more successful. Now this all incorporates determination and discipline. You need to learn how to discipline yourself in order to keep moving consistency and not falling back to your old bad habits. If you set a firm and disciplined standard, it will help you make good habits last longer.

For me, I used to struggle with waking up early. So in order to help me have a better sleeping schedule, I would force myself to go to sleep at 10pm and wake up at 5:30 am. Since I used to struggle with 4 hours of sleep on a daily basis due to work, I would discipline myself by setting timer saying that I would finish all my work before dinner which is usually around 5 or 6 pm and focus on studying later for an hour and prepare to go to sleep at 10pm. Therefore, I am disciplining myself and training my body to slowly get used to a new sleeping schedule forsaking up early at 5:30 am. By no time in 2 weeks, my body made the sleeping cycle into a good habit. Try it out and let me know how it goes! In the beginning, things will feel very rocky and tough to get through, make sure to have endurance and patience!! It will be hard but in the end, everything will be worth it. To share with you my goal, I'm working on eating healthier to lose weight. We can share our struggles and get through it together~ There are people out there who are succeeding big time right now, but your turn will come soon. You just need to hang in there a little longer, set your goal and work step by step. There is always a time for you to shine on earth.

So here are the main steps summarizing what you should do in order to create a better life:

1. Face your flaws.

2. Be open to suggestions.

3. Set mini goals.

4. Have patience and endurance.

As Walt Disney always says,

"The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing."

Hope this was an encouragement to motivate you!
